Our challenge:
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Product Manager (AI) to lead the development and delivery of AI-powered products and platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Generative AI, LLMs, AI Agents, and cloud technologies, combined with proven product management experience. This role will work closely with Engineering, Data Science, Architecture, and Business teams to define product strategy, drive execution, and deliver innovative AI solutions that create measurable business value.
Additional Information*
The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $115k - $125k/year & benefits (see below).
The Role
Responsibilities:
• Define and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for AI/GenAI products and platforms.
• Collaborate with engineering, architecture, data science, and business stakeholders to build scalable AI solutions.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into detailed product requirements, user stories, and technical specifications.
• Lead the development of AI-powered applications leveraging LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, and conversational AI technologies.
• Prioritize product backlogs, define MVPs, and drive Agile product delivery.
• Partner with engineering teams to evaluate technical feasibility, architecture, APIs, integrations, and scalability considerations.
• Define and monitor product KPIs, adoption metrics, model performance, and business outcomes.
• Drive product lifecycle management from ideation through deployment and continuous optimization.
• Stay current with emerging AI technologies and identify opportunities to enhance products through innovation.
• Ensure AI governance, security, compliance, and responsible AI practices are incorporated into product design.
Requirements:
• Years of Product Management experience with strong technical product ownership responsibilities.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience delivering AI, Machine Learning, or Generative AI solutions.
• Strong understanding of:
• Large Language Models (LLMs)
• Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG)
• AI Agents and Agentic AI
• Prompt Engineering
• NLP and Machine Learning fundamentals
• Experience working with AI platforms such as:
• OpenAI
• Azure OpenAI
• Anthropic Claude
• Google Gemini
• Amazon Bedrock
• Strong technical understanding of APIs, microservices, cloud architecture, and system integrations.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and product management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Ability to work effectively with software engineers, architects, and data scientists.
• Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or Google ADK.
• Exposure to MLOps, model deployment, AI observability, and model evaluation frameworks.
• Experience building Enterprise AI Assistants, Copilots, Knowledge Management Solutions, or Agentic AI platforms.
• Hands-on understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience integrating AI solutions with enterprise applications and business workflows.
• Knowledge of responsible AI, governance, compliance, and security best practices.
• Experience in Banking, Financial Services, Healthcare, or other regulated industries.
• Proven track record of launching and scaling enterprise-grade AI products.
• Ability to balance business objectives, customer needs, and technical constraints to drive product success.
